The ICC nominated Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant for his recent test cricket series against Australia. Other nominations include England’s Joe Root and Ireland’s Paul Stirling.

He is nominated in consideration of the milestone performances, including taking significant wickets in 3 tests as and when he had the opportunity. The young 23-year-old also displayed his batting prowess with 29 runs off 40 balls in the second test, 36 runs off 67 balls, and 97 runs off 118 balls in the third test, and 23 runs off 29 balls, and a not out batting in the second innings at 89 runs off 138 balls in the fourth test.
