The Rise insight: How you see Indian writing in the 21st century? What changes do you see in the modern way of writing? Do you feel it has been changed by the time?

Author: Indian writing in the 21 St century is definitely doing well. Many changes have crept into the modern way of writing – ‘ short stories’ have largely replaced the ‘prose’ and ‘poetry’ which were once very famous. Yes, it has been changed by time. Many new authors are coming up and there is lots of freshness in their content and writing style. Moreover, the themes chosen for stories are very close to everyday life which makes it easy for readers to identify themselves with the characters they read about.

The Rise insight: How easy/ difficult it was for you to publish your book? What message would you like to give to budding authors?

Author: It has not been easy but the labour and struggle has finally been worth the response and success we are now enjoying.

My message to budding authors – It is never going to be easy, but if writing is truly your passion then just keep going. Life will surely land you at a good place, may not be immediately but eventually. It is also very important to have a good mentor.
